Fourth Annual Fall Conference

We are excited to announce our fourth annual Fall Conference from November 8th to November 10th, 2013!This year, we’ve expanded the scope of the conference by extending an invitation to all chapters around the world, and we are proud to announce that representatives from four different continents will be attending our lectures, seminars and workshops on topics ranging from the importance of social media as a political tool to photojournalism to the future of the global Internet.

Journalism and Design Conference at  Yale

Global21 is pleased to introduce a new initiative for high school students in early November, 2012. The conference will combine focused skill training with practical journalism experience. Each participant will join a team of students tasked with creating a magazine. Under the supervision of experienced Yale undergraduates, the high school teams will engage in the entire process of publishing a magazine, including pitching ideas, taking part in editorial discussions, researching and writing articles, taking photographs, designing layout, and copyediting the final product.

In addition to working on their magazine, students will also have the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, learn from experts about journalism and design skills, meet other talented high-school students from around the United States, and, of course, explore Yale’s beautiful campus.
