Rio de Janeiro Globalist
Located at: Ibmec University – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Founded: 2009
About the Magazine:
The Rio de Janeiro Globalist was founded by the members of a junior firm at Ibmec University called Panorama International Consultancy. In its initial stages, the Rio Globalist faced many difficulties in establishing a chapter since it was the first project of its kind at the university. However, they were able to successfully launch in August of 2010 and were officially Global21′s first Latin American chapter.
The Rio de Janeiro Globalist hopes to experiment with new forms of journalism and to make a shift towards more reporting based articles for the next issue, due to print in March of 2011. Among these alternative forms of journalism will be testimonials and interviews with first-hand witness of the World War II as well as interviews with prominent figures within the international relations community in Rio.
